Vaults

Vaults

A Hyperliquid vault is an account someone else trades, that you can put USDC into and share the PnL of. HLP is the protocol’s own community vault; every other vault is run by a leader, a trader who takes a share of the profits they make for depositors.

Open them from Vaults in the Account rail, in the Earn column of the footer, or from the mobile Menu sheet.

⚠️

A vault’s return is its leader’s trading, and a vault can lose money. Read the all-time PnL and the leader’s own share of the vault before depositing.

What you see

Four figures across the top: your equity across vaults, your all-time PnL (your share, after leader commission), the number of active vaults, and their total TVL. Then:

  • Your vaults: each vault you hold, your equity, how long you have been in, your estimated APR (from your own net PnL over your holding period) and a lock icon while a lockup runs.
  • All vaults: every open vault with at least $1,000 of TVL, searchable by name or address, sortable by TVL, APR or all-time PnL, with the past-month return, 25 a page. HLP is marked Protocol.

Each vault has its own page at /vaults/<address>: value chart, positions, balances and fills, its terms (leader, commission, leader share, lockup, age) and its top 100 depositors.

Depositing

Pick a vault, enter an amount in USDC, confirm.

  • Vault deposits take spot USDC. If your spot balance is short, Liquary first moves the difference from your perp balance (one extra signature, stated in the modal). If the deposit then fails, the USDC is in your spot balance, not lost.
  • The transfer is signed through your trading agent (or your wallet in no-agent mode), so a deposit is one click once the balance is in place.

Each deposit locks your whole balance in that vault: 1 day on a user vault, 4 days on HLP. Topping up resets the clock for everything you hold there. The page shows the unlock date.

A vault closed to new deposits by its leader says so, and offers no deposit button.

Withdrawing

Withdraw returns your share to your Hyperliquid balance once the lockup has passed. If the vault has open positions, Hyperliquid may close part of them to free your share, so a small slippage can apply.

What the leader takes

A vault leader takes 10% of the profits made for depositors, never of the principal, and nothing on a loss. HLP takes none. The vault page also shows the leader share, the slice of the vault the leader owns.

Fees

A vault deposit or withdrawal is a transfer, not a trade: no Liquary fee and no Hyperliquid fee on the move itself. The vault’s own trading pays Hyperliquid’s protocol fees, out of the vault.

Your vault equity counts in your Portfolio equity. Vaults are labelled on the Leaderboard and hidden there by default.
